About Me


Tanaya Thomas is an Afro-Caribbean literary and performing artist who has studied performance at Drake University and Wise Fool New Mexico. She has a passion for community arts education and youth programming. She is especially interested in how the arts can be used to create change. Her work focuses  on mental health, wellness, and sexuality/sex positivity. She currently works and trains at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts and provides  writing services to a variety of publications including Corset Magazine and her personal blog Rise to The Sun. When she’s not writing you can find her stilt dancing, attending community events, or traveling.
